No Stranger To Electrification

This isn't Porsche's first time to the big show. In other words, Porsche has been to the Electric Rodeo before. Start with the Porsche Cayenne and Panamera. Both have the options of Hybrid Electric Power, with conventional hybrid powertrains in 2010 and plug-in hybrids since 2014. That same year, the company introduced the Porsche 918. This electric super car brought high-performance electrification to the brand.

The 918 was followed in 2019 with the Porsche Taycan, which was Porsche's first electric four-door coupe. The higher performance Porsche Taycan Turbo S is the current EV lap record-holder at the famed Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany.

Does the Macan EV Look Different Than The Gas-Powered Macan?

With a design described as Dynamic and Dominant, the new electric Porsche Macan 4 and Macan Turbo will bring the established Porsche DNA into an all-new vehicle. The classic Porsche design is here, along with cues that are necessary for the challenges of electrifying the platform.

The end-result is clear that the Macan EV is the sports car of the Electric SUV segment.
