Porsche Macan Dealer

The Porsche Macan from Napleton Westmont Porsche is a compact luxury SUV that may not be the most recent addition to the lineup from Stuttgart, but it is one of their most potent offerings. An all-wheel-drive cruiser, it is sportier than most of the competitors in the segment.

The Macan is the perfect combination of performance, utility and agility, all in one handsome package. Let the Porsche experts at Westmont Porsche help you find the perfect Macan today.

Compact Luxury SUV

There's a running theme within the Porsche brand that performance and luxury are at the forefront of everything they build. The Macan continues that theme and has plenty of good bones to prove it. Let's start with the fact it's a five-passenger four-door hatchback SUV that thinks it's a sports car. This overland hot-rod features standard all-wheel-drive (AWD) and a choice of power starting from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 261 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. If that's not enough, an enthusiast buyer can select the Macan S with its 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 engine. It's good for 375 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of stump-pulling torque for your next adventure.

The Macan GTS is equipped with a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that pumps out 434 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque.

All Porsche Macan SUVs are equipped with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission and a rear-biased all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. Under extreme loads, the vehicle starts with bite to all four wheels, giving way to a rear bias once cruising speed has been attained. The top line Porsche Macan GTS is capable of towing 4,409 lbs.

How About The Macan Interior?

The Porsche Macan interior is, of course, not as big as some other SUVs, but the inside is consistently Porsche through and through. Attention to detail is apparent throughout, and in a reach toward Porsche purists, includes the traditional ignition button placement to the left of the steering wheel.

As racing legend has it, the key was placed on the left side so a driver at the 24 Hours of Lemans could enter the car after sprinting across the track, open the door, hop in with his left hand twisting the key while his right hand was going for the gear shift lever. Well, that was the original theory. Other stories have recently appeared saying the ignition wiring came up the left side of the dashboard, and instead of using another 12 inches of wiring, why not just route it through the dashboard, on the left, where it came through.

Fully modernized to today's standards, the traditional gauge arrangement of a Porsche still exists. A large tachometer takes center stage, flanked by a speedometer, and digital screen on either side. The center stack features a 10.9-inch touchscreen display to operate the audio system, navigation, Apple CarPlay and more.

Firmly bolstered front seats are here to enhance your sport driving experience. In the rear, there are 17.7 cubic feet of cargo space. Fold the 40/20/40 rear seats forward and that area grows to 53-cubic feet.

Porsche Macan Exterior

Following its redesign, the Macan continues forth. The front end is adorned with full LED lighting for improved visibility down the road. The rear is now complete with an LED taillight that spans the complete width of the liftback tailgate.

The wheel and tire selection are similar to those found on its more mature Porsche Cayenne sibling. Those looking for a smoother ride would be wise to select the 18-inch tire range, while enthusiasts might like the visual appeal of the larger 20- and 21-inch sport alloys that are available on the higher performance models.

Overall, you get a very sleek, sporty look that complements its performance well. In a lot of ways the Macan gives you the benefits of both a sports car and a SUV.

Porsche Macan Near Me

The Porsche Macan is well-equipped from the start. Besides your engine package of choice, there are such features as all-wheel-drive, an alarm system, and a power liftgate. Add in the PDK transmission, four USB ports, tri-zone climate controls, split-folding rear seat, lane departure control and a Porsche audio system for enhanced entertainment from behind the wheel. Macan Turbo owners receive the added capabilities of the Porsche Active Suspension Management system (PASM).

We understand, though, that many Porsche owners prefer to enhance their overall ownership experience by selecting many available options. These include the Premium Package Plus with its huge panoramic sunroof, Apple CarPlay and Bose Surround Sound Audio system. There's also the Sport Chrono Package with stopwatches, a sport plus mode that remaps engine, gearbox and chassis settings and the Sport Response Button that gives a momentary burst of performance for a 20-second interval, as needed.
