One of the most popular Porsche 911 models is the Porsche 911 Carrera. The Carrera comes in three model variants: Porsche 911 Carrera 4, Porsche 911 Carrera S, and the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. The "4" within the Porsche model represents the four driven wheels in all-wheel drive models. While the "S" stands for sport, which signifies enhanced performance. Specifically with the 911, sport means an increased engine output, a sporty chassis design, and larger brakes & wheels. Lastly, this means that the 4S is a combination of all-wheel drive in addition to the increased performance of the sport. 

The Porsche 911 Carrera is equipped with a twin-turbo engine that has exceptional power and responsiveness. To maximize stability and reduce vibration the Carrera's engine mounts near the center of the vehicle, which adds to the vehicle's already low center of gravity.
